The best birthday dinner I've ever had. The setting is exquisite and calming. The wait staff is extremely classy taking care of your every need while somehow managing to not interrupt a single conversation. And most important, the food was amazing! The salad bar is just beautiful and fresh. We had steak and seafood and baked potatoes. To die for! Topped off with a homemade Sangria and a special birthday wish from the owner.
We celebrated my birthday dinner by taking a ride out to The Silo. My in laws & I had the prime rib & my husband had the seafood buffet. All of our meals were delicious! Great salad bar & many choices on the buffet. Service was also excellent! Thank you for a wonderful birthday meal! :)
The food was excellent as always. Service was just right. Salad bar selections were delicious. Enjoy the view and decor. The birthday dessert including candle was the perfect finish for a perfect meal. Kudos to the Silo.
Extremely disappointed. My first visit to the Silo was this past Thanksgiving day and I was expecting to be served hot, fresh, tender and juicy turkey carved from the bird, the kind I've had every Thanksgiving since I could crawl. Instead the Silo served a slab of processed turkey breast (not off the bird)of a lesser grade than the turkey found in the sliced meats section in Wal-Mart. It's unfathomable to me that a restaurant would serve anything but fresh turkey off the bird on Thanksgiving day. I would have had better turkey and a better experience had I celebrated my Thanksgiving at Subway. This was extreme indifference on the part of the restaurant to both the day and to its patrons.
The food was excellent, but the surprise charge at the end when the bill came was disconcerting. We had gone for thanksgiving dinner, made reservations. We were taken to sit immediately upon arrival, no waiting. The buffet style dinner was expansive and very tasty. Drinks were not included in the $35 per person and there was an additional charge of 26.15 when the bill came, assuming for tip. I do not believe that there should be a tip of that percentage when I have to get my own food. That was the only negative to the night as it was not mentioned anywhere prior to getting out bill.
